What is the dosage recommendation?

For both the tablets and syringes — we recommend (if tolerated) chewing or taking sublingually. This allows the oil to have a more rapid and predictable absorption and prevents much of the cannabis oil from being metabolized by the liver. [cite: FAQ for Online Store.json] When the tablets or oil are swallowed, the absorption will be affected by the food in the stomach, as well as any conditions that could be going on in the liver. [cite: FAQ for Online Store.json] Also, when THC is metabolized by the liver, it is converted to another form of THC, which is much more psychoactive. [cite: FAQ for Online Store.json] You’ll want to start low and slow. [cite: FAQ for Online Store.json] If you start with the tablets, I would recommend an Indica strain or one that contains some CBD. CBD will help balance out the psychoactive effects of the THC. We would recommend starting with 1/4 of a 25mg tablet and see how that goes for about 2-4 hours. Increase the dose as tolerated. If you decide to begin with the syringes then I would recommend looking at the circle on the back of the box and starting with a dose about half of that size or smaller- this should be about 7mg of THC or a blend of THC/CBD depending on the selected strain. [cite: FAQ for Online Store.json] Sublingual cannabis should begin to take effect in about 15-30 minutes and peak within 2 hours. [cite: FAQ for Online Store.json] The effect should last from 4-8 hours. [cite: FAQ for Online Store.json] Tolerance will build up quickly with regular use and he should be able to increase the dose every 3-5 days.

Tinctures are a great place to start for new users because the dose can be titrated down. Each drop of the tincture contains 1.9mg of the dominant cannabinoids (i.e. THC, CBD or CBG). 1-2 drops taken sublingually would be the recommended starting dose. Please remember to shake the tincture bottle before administering.
